Complex Heirarchical Methods are Possible with InStep

If your data requires that you create multiple models to fine tune your predictions, InStep is ready to put that effort into a single method. Turn on the Compare switch, then create the logic to handle each step of the decision process. Decisions for traversing the logic flow can be made on predicted values or any outlier diagnostic available for the algorithm.

Specify Location for Files to be Processed

InStepWatchedCreating a prediction method is easy, even for complex situations. Setting up the processing strategy is even easier. Simply tell InStep the folder where new data will be saved. Once InStep has started processing, any data file of the designated extension will be processed. After processed, the file is moved to the out folder, then InStep will wait for the next sample file to appear. Depending on the computer processor, InStep can handle data at 20-50 MHz.

Create a Report Format for the Predictions

InStepBodyIn a prediction report, you can include those computations of main interest: the predicted values themselves and associated prediction diagnostics. The values can be embellished with relevant text, and comments can be added to further describe the output. You can choose to include all predicted values or just those of only one or two Y values, for example. A preview makes it easy to see what the report will look like.

Customize the Output with Meaningful Commentary

InStep makes it easy to add relevant text to the report with strings that are dependent on the values or range of values. Managers appreciate reading a report that tells them whether an outcome is considered significant or not; use InStep to customize the output for each application.
